St Ann's Chapel is small hamlet near Bigbury, situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, a couple of miles from the South Devon coast.

There are good amenities with a small supermarket across one side of the road and a well run pub, The Pickwick Inn on the other.  There is also a park with facilities for small children.

It is an ideal centre to explore the many attractions of the South Hams district which are all within easy reach.  These include:

Bigbury-on-Sea is the nearest seaside village, and is a short drive away (about 2 mile).  It has unspoilt sandy beaches and the famous Burgh Island across a tidal causeway.  There is ample parking, a cafe, toilets and a beach shop.  The beach is perfect for families and is cleaned every day in the Summer.  The views across the bay to Bantham beach and beyond are outstanding.

Burgh island is accessible at all times - you can walk across at low tide or ride on the big tractor ferry when the tide is in.  The Pilchard Inn dates from the 14th century and was popular with smugglers.  The hotel has been restored to its original 1920's splendor.  Agatha Christie stayed and wrote there, Noel Coward was a regular.  There are plenty of good pubs and restaurants in the area and the market towns of Modbury and Kingsbridge are within 10 - 15 minutes drive.
